Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to become a hurricane before making landfall along the east coast of Florida Wednesday night. In Tallahassee, there’s the potential for tropical storm winds and rain on Thursday.
President Larry Robinson, Ph.D., and the Emergency Management team will continue to monitor Nicole closely and will make announcements regarding the Tallahassee main campus, accordingly. Meanwhile, employees are removing banners, tents and other temporary structures ahead of the weather system’s strong winds.
Please monitor your FAMUINFO email for the latest updates on university operations. Get your storm preparations in order and review your personal hurricane safety plans before the onset of severe weather.
The University community will be updated using the FAMU ALERT text and email messaging system. Automatic enrollment for these messages is made for all staff and students, and settings can be updated via FAMU Alert
