A Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Business & Industry (SBI) team emerged victorious in the inaugural PGIM Fixed Income Case Competition.
The FAMU SBI scholars were Aunjoli Myers, Donovan Bryant, Jazmine Hughes, and Timiah Sinclair. The faculty adviser was Samique March-Dallas, Ph.D., CFA.
The contest was a head-to-head competition between FAMU and Hampton University scholars. Each school designated a team of four strong competitors to participate in this inaugural event.
Team members are in their sophomore year in the business program at their respective schools with an interest in investing. Each competitor attended several virtual teaching sessions with PGIM to level set and teach some concepts of fundamental credit analysis.
They then competed on March 31, 2023, at PGIM headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, in front of senior managers including Billy Greer, a FAMU alumnus who is a managing director in charge of PGIM’s Atlanta office. PGMI is a global investment manager.
The FAMU SBI scholars were lauded by the PGIM observers for being confident and well-spoken.
