An Atlanta native, Day is a classically trained opera singer who sings other genres. She is an educator, artist, vocalist, and voice instructor. Her anointed style, production, and spiritual perception have made her one of the most dynamic and compelling talents.

Day  also wears many hats: a soloist/performer with the American Spiritual Ensemble. Ms. Day appeared on Season 14 of “America’s Got Talent.”

Her vocal rendition of Moses Hogan’s “Hear My Prayer” has taken the internet by storm and has made Day an internet phenomenon. Her music is currently available on all digital networks and has placed her at No. 9 and No. 24 on Billboard Magazine’s Gospel and Classical music charts.

Day holds an Associate of Arts degree in Voice Performance from Sinclair Community College, a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Bowling Green State University, Master of Arts degree in Education with a Music Concentration from the University of Dayton. She’s  a candidate for the Master of Fine Arts and Doctor of Music degrees in Voice Performance at the University of Kentucky. Day has performed with opera companies throughout the United States, Europe, and Central America.

The Concert Choir is part of the FAMU Department of Music. The group performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing” with Alicia Keys at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium at the 2021 NFL season kickoff.
