Bio


Perry Brown is Professor of Public Health Epidemiology in the Institute of Public Health, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health, Florida A&M University.  He also is Honorary Professor in the School of Health Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. Dr. Brown’s experience in Public Health and Epidemiology has included work in infectious diseases internationally (smallpox in Bangladesh, HIV/AIDS in Zaire (Congo), Brazil and Thailand, and HIV/AIDS and  as well as HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles, Covid-19 Response-Florida) and chronic diseases (Cancer and cardiovascular disease), and Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology.  He currently heads the Westat-RAIVEN Influenza Immunization Study.
