The CAFS LLC is designed to create an environment for freshmen that is supportive of their academic pursuits while providing experiences that increase their appreciation for and knowledge of careers in food and agricultural sciences and research opportunities with faculty mentors. In addition, the LLC students are given opportunities to bond with each other through activities that may involve fellow students, staff, alumni, and government and industry partners.
Joining the CAFS LLC is a great opportunity to live and learn with students with similar interests, and participate in programs that cater to your academic, social, and personal needs. We offer the following activities:
First-year students pursuing a career in agribusiness, plant and soil science, biological systems engineering, food sciences, entomology or animal sciences with a 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale are welcome to apply!

"I like the LLC because it introduced me to the people that I am closest to now. It helped me to get close to students in (CAFS) because we lived near each other….The LLC also helped with classes, I liked the study sessions, it helped me to have people in my classes to help when I needed it"
