College of Agriculture and Food Sciences

If you are a first-year student pursuing a career in agribusiness, plant and soil science, biological systems engineering, food sciences, entomology or animal sciences, the College of Agriculture and Food Sciences Living Learning Community (CAFS LLC) is a strong way to get your start. Let’s grow together!

Benefits

The CAFS LLC is designed to create an environment for freshmen that is supportive of their academic pursuits while providing experiences that increase their appreciation for and knowledge of careers in food and agricultural sciences and research opportunities with faculty mentors. In addition, the LLC students are given opportunities to bond with each other through activities that may involve fellow students, staff, alumni, and government and industry partners.

  • Field trips focused on each major
  • Academic support in the form of tutoring and study sessions
