Applying For Housing

Once the appropriate fees are paid, students will be able to complete the application including selection of facility/room preferences, roommate preferences, and express interest in the University’s Living Learning Community, if desired. Information regarding our Living Learning Communities can be found at Living Learning Communities.

Room assignments will be completed by the Office of University Housing at a future date and students will be notified via email.

When assigned, students will receive another email confirming their 2023-2024 assignment. Applications submitted without the $200 advanced payment fee will not be processed.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response by current FAMU students, the Fall 2023 Returners Housing Application Process has closed. We recommend that all returning students who have not completed the FAMU Housing application and paid the $200 advance payment for academic year 2023-2024 seek alternative living arrangements.

Applications received after March 8, 2023, will not be processed and any fees paid, will be credited to the student’s account.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive response, the Housing Application process for Fall 2023 newly admitted and transfer students will close on May 5, 2023, at 5 p.m.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students interested in living on campus must submit their application and $200 advance payment prior to this date.
