The undergraduate Student Health Care Management Association (SHCMA) is composed of professional and pre-professional students who have declared Health Care Management as their major. The officers of this association consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter, Historian, and Parliamentarian who are elected by the junior and senior class members.
The Division of Health Care Management is a full member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), and the undergraduate program is certified by AUPHA.
The graduate program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME).

An essential component of the academic experience is a thirteen 13-week field practicum. The administrative internship serves as a "bridge" between concepts, theories and practice. It integrates course work with a supervised practicum experience and allows the student to explore an area of special interest. Criminal background check clearance is required for internship placement.
