Dr. Green-Weir’s experience spans over 30 years in healthcare working in one of the top-three health systems in metropolitan Detroit, and 20 years in higher education. During her 30 years in the health administration industry, she conducted research on health disparities, translated research into practice, oversaw community benefits, and diversity management. As an assistant professor, Dr. Green-Weir incorporates her 30+ years experience in health administration coupled with experiential learning techniques giving students real-world examples to develop analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and systems thinking skills needed for the workplace. In addition to her degrees, Dr. Green-Weir received a graduate certificate in Community Medicine Research & Evaluation from Wayne State University, and a certification in Diversity Management from Cornell University. Dr. Green-Weir is currently a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Association of University Programs in Health Administration.
