Vanessa B Crowther

Dr. Crowther holds a Doctor of Public Health degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, a Master of Public Health degree from City University of New York, Hunter College and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Nutrition Sciences from City University of New York, Brooklyn College.

Among her research interests are: the utilization of public health genomic technologies as new opportunities for disease prevention and treatment, health disparities and health equity, and clinical/community partnerships for chronic disease management and health promotion. Her current research projects are food insecurity among older minority adults. She holds professional memberships in the American Public Health Association, Florida Public Health Association, and Association of University Programs in Health Administration. Dr. Crowther’s 30 years of public health management experience include health program planning, implementation and evaluation, grant-writing, contract management, budgeting, quality assurance and strategic planning.
