We're excited to add two new faces to the University Housing Team, welcome Allysan McGill and Taylor Hunter. Among the additions, Darnell Houck is now a permanent Resident Director at FAMU Towers.
Allysan McGill joins OUH as a Program Assistant in the area of Applications. She attended FAMU studying Criminal Justice with a minor in History. The late Maya Angelo once said that "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Allysan has adopted this, along with the University's motto, "Excellence With Caring," and she is excited to serve the Rattler FAMULY.
Taylor Hunter will serve as the Community Standards Coordinator. Hunter is a native
of Thomasville, Georgia. She's a PROUD 2016 graduate of THEE Florida Agricultural
& Mechanical University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
Hunter received her Master's in Social Work with a clinical concentration from Valdosta
State. She's currently working on a second master's in Higher Education focusing on
Student Affairs. "My hobbies are cooking, baking, traveling, and crafting. Our campus
community should know that my main focus, while I'm here, is the students!"
Darnell Houck serves as a Resident Director for FAMU Towers. The FAMU alumnus previously served as the Assistant Resident Director and Resident Assistant before that. Houck is a native of Harlem, NY, and is currently completing his Ph.D. program at FAMU.
