Dr. Ronald B. Lumpkin is an Associate Professor at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) School of Architecture
& Engineering Technology (SAET). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural
Studies and Master of Architecture from Florida A&M University. An ordained minister,
Dr. Lumpkin earned a Doctorate from Jacksonville Theological Seminary and the Doctor
of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Florida A&M University. Since 1987,
Dr. Lumpkin has taught design studios, thesis, and various elective at FAMU. He developed
the Office of Student Services in the School of Architecture coordinating recruitment,
retention, academic advisement, career counseling, graduation certifications, student
appeals/grievances, class scheduling, and alumni affairs. Tau Sigma Delta National
Honor Society and Alpha Rho Chi national fraternity are student organizations chartered
during his tenure. In 2010, Dr. Lumpkin co-developed a Florida and Historical Black
College and University (HBCU) first, collaborative undergraduate and graduate degrees
in Facility Management between the FAMU School of Business and Industry and the School
of Architecture and Engineering Technology (SAET).
