Mr. David Akinsanya is a member of Construction Engineering Technology (CET) faculty in the School of Architecture and Engineering Technology (SAET) at Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University (FAMU). He earned a Master of Architecture, at Florida A&M University and Bachelor of Architecture, from University of Tennessee. He has twenty-six years of teaching experience in undergraduate courses in Construction Engineering Technology and five years of experience in undergraduate and graduate courses in Architecture. David holds a certification in Building Code - State Requirements for Education Facilities (SREF) and Plant Management - Rules of Florida State Board of Education, 6A-2.
David is an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer who educates and instructs students in the particulars to the pathway of completing the OSHA 10- or 30- Hour Construction safety certification courses. He also has a plethora of training in Construction Management software such as Procore (Project Management Software) and Primavera P6 (Project Scheduling Software). Additionally, he has professional experience which includes working with but not limited to Leon County Schools, Department of Facilities Planning and Construction, Geiger Bond Architect Inc. and Alberto Construction Company in Tennessee.
David is a member of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE).
