Elaine Bryant is the associate dean of administrative and fiscal affairs in the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication at Florida A&M University.
Bryant is a 20-plus year senior executive with expertise in both the public and private sectors. Past roles include Tallahassee city commissioner, division director, deputy director, bureau chief, and training specialist at the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and a school psychologist in the Leon County School System.
She capped off her public service career as the assistant secretary for management and budget at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. In that position, she was primarily responsible for providing visionary leadership for the department’s business operations to include human resources, finance and accounting, budget, information resource management, and general services.
Bryant is also a gifted motivational speaker. She uses the wisdom gained from her life experiences as an educator, executive and entrepreneur as the foundation for the hard-won secrets and strategies she shares with others. Her goal is to help others overcome obstacles, gain freedom, experience joy, and destroy discouragement. With confidence, credibility, enthusiasm, and a reputation for delivering the inspiration an audience needs, her presentation style is energetic, captivating, stimulating, and at times humorous.
