The Administrative Support Services Section of the Florida A&M University Department
of Campus Safety & Security (FAMU DCSS) comprises Crime Prevention, The Administrative
Support Services Section of the Florida A&M University Police Department (FAMU PD)
comprises Crime Prevention, Communications, Computer Systems Control, Records, and
Clery/Title IX.
This section consists of sworn and civilian men and women that are critical to the
support and administrative functions of sworn law enforcement officers. Their work
assists in the advancement of the University Police Department’s policing activities.
The primary responsibilities of this unit are as follows:
- Operations and management of The Communications Center often referred to as Dispatch
- Crime Prevention
- Clery Reporting Compliance
- Records Administration and Uniform Crime Reporting
- IT logistics and support of departmental equipment and infrastructure needs
