We will be positive role models with truthfulness, honesty and dependability with every action we take. In providing professional service we are committed to proficiency, reliability, and excellence in all aspects of our conduct and performance.

RESPECT

Respect is about valuing others, showing appreciation for their differences, and treating everyone with kindness and dignity. It’s the foundation for positive relationships and open communication. When respect is present, team members feel seen and heard, which leads to a culture of mutual trust. In a respectful environment, people can express their opinions without fear of judgment, and this openness can lead to greater collaboration and innovation.

UNITY

Unity means fostering a sense of togetherness, where everyone works towards a common goal. It’s about building cohesion, where differences are celebrated and individual strengths are leveraged for the collective good. Unity within a team or organization promotes a sense of belonging and shared purpose, making people feel connected to each other. A unified environment ensures that people support each other, work harmoniously, and face challenges together, making them more resilient and effective.

SAFETY

Safety is about creating an environment where individuals feel physically and emotionally secure. EXCELLENCE

We will strive for excellence in every action we take. Excellence is not automatic, but everyone in the FAMU Department of Campus Safety & Security has the capacity to have it. How we treat our work and other people affects our excellence. We will aim beyond mediocrity while rising above minimum standards; we will always set our goals high.

It emphasizes the importance of working together to achieve common goals, where each person contributes their unique skills and perspectives. Effective teamwork builds trust because it shows that everyone’s contributions are valued and success is the result of a combined effort.
