What is sports management?

The sports industry is booming from 2020 to 2022; key players are driving the growth coming from the top 15 biggest sports brands and their total ‘brand value’ in US dollars, across all four categories (business, events, athletes, teams) ranked in Forbes Magazine’s 2019.

The current sport management program is in parallel with the growth of the profession. Florida A&M Athletics directly hire our graduate students to support the sports industry, including marketing and management. FAMU's sport management graduate program is designed to train business managers with the knowledge, skills, and disposition to handle business matters related to sports teams and related business.
