About OIT

 

The Office of Instructional Technology (OIT) distance learning department, located on the ground floor of the Coleman Library, Room 104, offers multimedia, distance learning, audiovisual, and video conferencing support to faculty, students and staff at Florida A&M University. We provide:

  • multimedia equipment
  • operation and maintenance of smart classrooms
  • train faculty on new methods of implementing technology in the classroom

At Florida A&M University, the mission of the Distance Learning Department is to increase access to high-quality collegiate courses by utilizing educational technologies and emerging content delivery methods that allows for the development of professional proficiencies, the opportunity for personal growth, and the fostering of interpersonal effectiveness.

Florida A&M University has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) since 1935.

Please note: Due to restrictive state regulations, Florida A&M University (FAMU) is not permitted to provide online courses or instruction to students from some states. If you reside in a restricted state, you may not be permitted to enroll in or be admitted to a FAMU online program.
