#WriteOnFAMU
The overarching goal of Florida A&M University’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is
to improve writing proficiency by providing students with multiple opportunities throughout
their matriculation to engage in writing activities.
The key component of #WriteOnFAMU is the establishment of a Writing Across the Curriculum program, which will help
to foster a campus climate in which faculty are encouraged and supported to teach
using high-impact educational practices and create opportunities for students to enhance
their writing proficiency. Consistent with the University’s Mission Statement, developing
students’ written communication skills in and out of the classroom will improve student
learning and prepare graduates to apply their knowledge, critical thinking skills,
and creativity in their service to society.
Updates to the #WriteOnFAMU Quality Enhancement Plan are provided below. Newsletters,
Assessment Results, and Annual Reports will be added upon completion. For additional
information, please contact the program office at wac@famu.edu.
