This program focuses on the theory and practice of public policies, political behavior, world views, class systems, foreign relations, law, conflict, and war.
Students will examine the United States and other nations and regions of the world from new perspectives using both humanistic outlooks and scientific reasoning.
A major in political science consists of thirty-three (33) semester hours.
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree requires the completion of twelve (12) semester
hours of foreign language, whereas the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree does not.
All political science majors must complete a minor of eighteen (18) hours in another academic field.
Political Science majors with a public administration concentration have the same academic requirements as Political Science majors, except that public administration concentration students will minor in eighteen (18) hours of public administration instead of another academic field.
