Susan A. Baker, PhD, RN has been a registered nurse for 38 years. She is currently the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Nursing at Florida State University. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Baker was Dean of the College of Nursing at St. Petersburg College. Dr. Baker was also on the nursing faculty at Florida A&M University for six years. She received the Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Florida A&M University and both the Master’s and Doctorate in Nursing at the University of South Florida. The focus of her nursing career has been on the care of cancer patients. Dr. Baker is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society in Nursing, Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, the Florida Nurses’ Association, the American Nurses’ Association and serves on the Steering Committee of Health for Hearts United. Dr. Baker also serves on the Board of Directors of Victory House Community Resource Center whose focus is on food insecurities and empowerment in underserved and underrepresented communities. She also teaches heart healthy, breast and prostate cancer education classes in community centers and area churches. |

TaiQuay Smith Bogle is a distinguished leader in the education sector, known for her commitment to fostering equitable access to education. As the former Director of TRIO Upward Bound at Broward College, she effectively led the strategic oversight and execution of four pivotal grant projects to enhance educational opportunities for underserved communities.Beyond her role at Broward College, she is the Owner and Founder of Mind BOGLEing Educational Consulting, where she leverages her extensive experience to provide strategic consulting services that support educational organizations in achieving their goals. TaiQuay holds three master's degrees in elementary education, special education, and educational leadership, and she is currently advancing her academic pursuits as a doctoral candidate in educational leadership at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Her comprehensive education and hands-on experience equip her with the insights to address educational disparities and lead initiatives promoting significant and sustainable change. |

A native of Greenville, Florida by way of Buffalo, New York, Dr. Oliver is a 1990 graduate of Madison County High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Communications from The Florida State University in 1993, a Master’s of Science in Social Science Education, also from Florida State in 1995 and a Doctorate in History with a Concentration on 20th Century Intellectual and African American History in 2010 from Florida State. A professional educator since 1995, she has worked in the K12 classroom, as the local administrator of a statewide program for at-risk youth and at the college level as an instructor and administrator. She is also the founder of Preservice, a company that specializes in helping families, individuals and organizations compose life stories and pursue other historic preservation projects. Her work with a non-profit in her hometown led to the inclusion of the formerly segregated Madison County Training School and Suwannee River Junior College on the National Registry of Historic Places in July 2024. |
