About Me


Dr. Tonya Martin is Assistant Dean for Curriculum and Instructional Development and a faculty member at the Northeast Florida Pharmacy Practice Center, maintaining an Academic Pharmacy Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from FAMU in 2000. Dr. Martin is a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist and holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. She is an active member of the American Association of Colleges Pharmacy. Throughout her career, Dr. Martin has held a variety of clinical and leadership positions starting as an active-duty officer in the United States Navy. She has served as Department Head, Division Officer, Academic Department Chair and Committee Chair. She has taught a diverse range of courses including cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, geriatrics and communications.
