Dr. Tammie M. Johnson is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Public Health at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, where she teaches graduate courses in epidemiology and biostatistics. Dr. Johnson discovered her love for epidemiology and biostatistics while working for the Florida Department of Health for over a decade. Her research interests include many chronic disease outcomes and determinants, and she specializes in complex survey data methodology and analysis. Her publication topics include diabetes, metabolic syndrome, physical activity, alcohol consumption, tobacco use, mental distress, and related outcomes and determinants.
