Dr. Jocelyn D. Spates is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Florida A&M University
College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health. Additionally,
she holds the title of Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs. She received her Bachelor
of Science degree in Pharmacy from Florida A&M University and Doctor of Pharmacy degree
from Idaho State University. Dr. Spates joined the faculty in 2003 after serving as
a preceptor for the Northeast Florida Pharmacy Practice Center (Jacksonville). She
is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) and an American Association
of Colleges of Pharmacy Academic Leadership Fellow. She has received the Teacher of
the Year award twice and the Dean’s Appreciation Award. She has published numerous
articles and presented posters at national pharmacy meetings.
