About Me

Dr. Maignan currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice within FAMU's College of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, & Institute of Public Health (CoPPS & IPH). She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Florida's College of Pharmacy in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Maignan began training at Orlando VA Medical Center in which she gained clinical experiences in Hepatitis C, Women's Health, Pain Management, and HIV. To be closer to family, she returned to her hometown of Tallahassee, Florida and began practicing as an inpatient clinical pharmacist. Throughout the next seven years, Dr. Maignan had the privilege of working in various clinical areas at both HCA Florida Capital Hospital and Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. As a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist, Dr. Maignan's clinical areas of focus included Nutrition Support, Sterile Compounding, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Ambulatory Care. Apart from hospital practice, Dr. Maignan also practiced virtually as an MTM pharmacist with Cardinal Health.

Within CoPPS & IPH, Dr. Maignan teaches HIV pharmacotherapy and holds research interests in pharmacotherapeutic interventions in persons living with HIV based upon pharmacy learner classroom engagement and patient-pharmacist racial concordance. She also focuses on pharmacist-led dietary interventions to enhance diabetes patient care outcomes at Florida State University's Primary Health Clinic. Dr. Maignan is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and serves as historian for Florida's National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA) chapter.

Apart from teaching, Dr. Maignan enjoys restaurant-hopping with her husband, Peloton workouts, international travel with family, and dancing with her daughter.
