Melissa Damelio, MSN, RN, is the program director of the FAMU SON BSN program. She
also teaches Foundations of Clinical Practice and champions Dosage Calculations for
all BSN students.
She has taught nursing students for most of the last 18 years at all levels of preparation,
including LPN, ADN and now BSN. Three years ago, she joined the FAMUly. Within her
professional practice, she worked in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at Tallahassee
Memorial HealthCare. Since that time, she has worked with students on many of the
medical-surgical floors at both TMH and HCA Florida Capital Hospital.
She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Florida A&M University.
