He graduated in December 2016 and reported to the 21st Brigade Engineer Battalion, 3BCT at Fort Campbell, Ky. Upon entering the 21st BEB, he was assigned to be the Rear S4. After his S4 time, CPT Lincoln was sent to a Breacher Company in 21BEB, where he took over a Sapper Platoon. During his time as a Sapper PL, the platoon earned the title of the best sappers in the BDE and won numerous physical tournaments for the BN and BDE. During the innovation conference at Fort Campbell, the Chief of Staff of the Army viewed his Demo range, where the M303 kit was tested for the first time since it was brought on post.
After completing his PL time, he was assigned to HSC, HHBn, 101st ABN DIV (AASLT) as executive officer. During his time as XO, he led multiple DIV-level missions, including 4 pre-warfighter exercises and a Hicom movement and operation to Fort Drum. CPT Lincoln resourced and executed the first gunnery in over 10 years for Division. After his XO time, CPT Lincoln went to an Engineer Captains Career course and graduated in April 2020. CPT Lincoln became an instructor for the Engineer Basic Officer Leader Course; he taught Task Force, Bridging and Reconnaissance, and Platoon Leader Offense.
