Ms. Larae C. Lauray, MSW has 28 years of experience in the field of Social Work, with a master’s degree from FSU and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy/FSU. She initially served as the BSW Field Director during her 7 years working in the Department of Social Work. With a diverse background that spans work in non-profit organizations, private sector, state and local agencies. She has served on the Board of Directors for Victory House Community Resource Center as well as an advisor for Planned Parenthood FAMU Generation Action. Ms. Lauray brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise from various experiences such as case management, counseling/therapy, substance misuse, medical social work, hospice and community engagement. In addition to her Social Work career, she is a Coordinator for community outreach at BBC with a focus on homelessness and food insecurity. Outside of work, Ms. Lauray is a dedicated mother of one daughter and one furry son.
