Bio

 

Dr. Jazmyne Bryant is an Assistant Professor in the School of Allied Health Sciences, Division of Health Science at Florida A&M University. She is also the Co-Principal Investigator for the Behavioral Science and Health Intervention Research (BSHIR) Lab in the School of Allied Health Sciences. Bryant earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Communication with a specialty in Health Communication from the University of Miami. She also holds a Master of Public Health degree from Florida A&M's Institute of Public Health. Additionally, she obtained Bachelor of Arts degrees in psychology and criminology from the University of South Florida. Some of Bryant’s ongoing research investigates effective interventions for sexual partner status disclosure, HIV-related stigma, and medical adherence. Within her local community, Jazmyne serves as Vice Chair of the Tallahassee-Leon County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, a quasi-governmental entity tasked with making policy and program recommendations to local elected officials.
