Allison Mills Anderson maintains contemporary expertise in her course responsibilities by remaining clinically active. She is currently continuing to treat patients in the Spinal Cord Injury Program at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare that she spearheaded seven years ago to develop a continuum of care from neuro intensive care unit to inpatient rehabilitation and the outpatient clinic. She also regularly attends neuro and critical care workshops/courses at APTA CSM, ANPT, Spinal Cord Injury Special Interest Group and preparing to sit for her Neurologic Certified Specialist examination. She has obtained a certification for serial casting in adults and pediatric population for those with neurological conditions, attending courses to obtain a seating and mobility specialty with Ride Designs. Dr. Mills Anderson regularly enjoys providing stimulating experiences through the principle of “clinic to classroom” through experiences for students to apply and refine their classroom education into patient care skills. Students are routinely exposed in clinical neuro courses to neurological patients to develop examination, evaluation, prognostic, and interventions skills.
