Per the Tallahassee National Weather Service (NWS), the severe weather outlook for this weekend has been upgraded to a Moderate Risk (Level 4 of 5) for parts of our area. A significant severe weather outbreak is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Sunday dining services on the Tallahassee Campus will be adjusted to noon to 7:30 p.m. at Top Café.
Threats may Include: Significant tornadoes, damaging or destructive winds and large hail.

Tallahassee, Fla. – Florida A&M University has been actively monitoring the potential for severe weather as a squall line of thunderstorms pass through our area tonight and into Wednesday morning. At this time, the University will maintain normal operations for Wednesday, March 5th. The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering will delay opening until 9 am ET.

Tallahassee, Fla. – Due to the hazardous road conditions from Winter Storm Enzo, Florida A&M University (FAMU) will remain closed on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. We expect to return to normal operations on most campuses on Friday and will continue to monitor the conditions at the Crestview campus. Please stay off the roads for your safety and the safety of emergency responders.
FAMU will close the following campuses on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025:
Icy conditions persist following the overnight winter precipitation and frigid temperatures. The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for the area, which means weather conditions may cause roadways to refreeze Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
