Objective:

Establish the foundation for the initiative by informing and engaging administrative personnel.

Activities:
  • Host informational sessions to share the project’s purpose, goals, and timeline with stakeholders.
  • Collect input from administrative staff on perceived challenges and opportunities for resource optimization.
  • Build awareness of how the initiative aligns with FAMU’s strategic priorities.

Assessment and Analysis - Administrative

 
Objective:

Conduct a comprehensive review of administrative organizational resources and structures

Activities:
  • Assessment of Resources (human, fiscal, skills, capacity)
  • Review of Administrative Structure and Budget Allocations
  • Strategic Alignment and Cost Reductions

December 2024 - April 2025

 

Phase 2

 

Assessment and Analysis - Academic

 
Objective:

Conduct a comprehensive review of academic organizational resources and structures

Activities:
  • Assessment of Resources (faculty, academic staff, capacity)
  • Review of Administrative Structure and Budget Allocations
  • Strategic Alignment and Cost Reductions

May 2025 - August 2025

 

Phase 3

 

Strategic Alignment and Prioritization

 
Objective:

Align resources with strategic priorities and establish a roadmap for implementation.

Activities:
  • Finalize recommendations to realign administrative structures and budgets with strategic goals.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities for resource reallocation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize recommendations for immediate and long-term implementation.

 

Phase 4

 

Reporting and Implementation Planning

 
Objective:

Deliver actionable insights and a roadmap to guide resource optimization efforts.

Activities:
  • Prepare and present a comprehensive final report summarizing findings, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Develop an implementation plan with timelines, responsibilities, and metrics for success.
  • Begin preparations for executing recommendations, including identifying resources and support needs.

 

Phase 5

 

Implementation and Continuous Improvement

 
Objective:

Execute the recommendations from the Resource Optimization Initiative and establish a framework for ongoing evaluation and refinement.

Activities:
  • Implement prioritized recommendations across organizational structures, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor progress using defined metrics to measure the impact on operational efficiency, academic excellence, and financial stability.
  • Provide training and support to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of changes.
  • Establish a feedback loop for continuous improvement, allowing for adjustments as new challenges and opportunities arise.
