Since opening its doors on November 1, 2004, the Florida A&M University Writing Resource Center (WRC) has firmly established itself as a viable English resource that promotes the academic and professional success of FAMU students, faculty, and staff. The Writing Resource Center is staffed by experienced undergraduate and graduate writing consultants who have undergone extensive training in writing pedagogical methods.

A: In order for our writing consultants to best assist you, we recommend that you bring the assignment instructions, pen/pencil, paper, your draft (if you have it), feedback (if you’ve submitted a draft), the rubric, an inquisitive mind, the willingness to answer questions, and a positive attitude.
A: Yes, we can assist with in-text citations, reference pages, and everything in between. We cannot, however, assist with formatting processing programs like Microsoft Word.
A: No. We request that you schedule an appointment, complete it, and then schedule another appointment. Doing so will allow us to assist the entire FAMU community.
Please note: If you schedule multiple appointments, you will run the risk of having your account temporarily suspended from making appointments.
A: Yes, we do! Just make an appointment, and in the notes, inform the tutor that you’re working on a group assignment, and are bringing your groupmates. We will take it from there!
