Dean of Students

Our office offers a variety of student support services and assistance to students, families, faculty, and staff, along with opportunities in leadership, volunteerism, student engagement, fraternity and sorority life, student government, and career development.

The Office of the Dean of Students includes the following departments:

Campus Recreation, Career & Professional Development Center, Center for Disability Access and Resources (CeDAR), Counseling Services, Student Health Services, Efferson Student Union & Activities, FAMU Educational Research Center for Child Development (FAMU-ERCCD), Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution, Military & Veteran Affairs, TRIO Programs, and University Housing.

We assist students with a variety of concerns by working directly with them and connecting them to appropriate resources and services on campus. We also consult with and serve as a resource for faculty and staff, parents, families, and friends, working together to serve students through the Assessment and Care Team (ACT), the FarmShare and FAMU Food Pantry, and the Dorothy Henderson Scholars Program for Foster Care and Homeless Students.
