The implementation of the general education core course options are for students initially
entering Florida A&M University in 2015-2016. Students must complete at least one
course from the core list for each subject area – Communication, Humanities, mathematics,
natural science, social science, and other general education requirement. "Completion
of both the general education core and remaining university-specified general education
courses are required for completion of an undergraduate degree" (8.005 BOG; 1007.25(3)
F. S.).
Students are required to complete a total of 36 credit hours of general education
as indicated below with a “C” grade or above, unless otherwise noted by the academic
program in relation to natural science courses.
