Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University was founded on October 3, 1887 and is a member of the State University System of Florida. It is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and serves more than 12,000 full time students. It offers 62 bachelor’s degrees and 39 master’s degrees. The university has 13 schools and colleges and one institute. The university also offers a juris doctor at its College of Law in Orlando.
