Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) COVID-19 vaccination site is offering booster shots of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Moderna and Pfizer vaccines at the 659 Ardelia Court location. As of Tuesday, the site staff administered 18,792 doses of vaccine since it first opened on February 25, 2021.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), people 65 years and older, 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions, or 18 years and older who live in long-term care settings should receive a Modern or Pfizer booster shot at least six months after their second shot. Individuals 18 years and older should receive a booster shot at least two months after receiving their Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.
The FAMU site also offers the single dose of Johnson & Johnson and first and second doses of Moderna and Pfizer from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday. No preregistration or appointment is required.
