Florida A&M University (FAMU) announced the appointment of Kenneth Wilson as the new controller, effective February 12, 2024.
Wilson previously served as controller/director at the University of North Texas Foundation and acting senior vice president for Finance/chief financial officer (CFO) at the Florida Institute of Technology. His experience extends to controller positions in public higher education at Purdue University and the University of Michigan, alongside budgeting roles at Case Western Reserve University.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Strategic Management from Purdue University, Wilson has demonstrated leadership in endowment management, tax returns, financial reporting, and bond issuing and refinancing, said CFO/Vice President for Finance and Administration Rebecca Brown. His chairmanship at National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO)’s Accounting Principles Council underscores his commitment to accounting excellence and industry best practices, she added
