About FAMU  Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) is a public institution that was founded in 1887, located in Tallahassee, FL. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 9,900, and the campus size is 419 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar.


FAMU's ranking in the 2018 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, 207.


Its in-state tuition and fees are $5,785 (2017-18); out-of-state tuition and fees are $17,725 (2017-18).


The FAMU students are composed mostly of undergraduate students. The university offers 62 undergraduate and 36 postgraduate degrees, including 11 doctorates and 2 professional studies.
